I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you need to be in a domain to do that.
That way when you login it authenticates with the doman and the profiles are pulled from there.
Maybe you could set one of the computers that way, but I would imagine it has to be XP server (or some such).
Anyway technet.microsoft.com should have the details. Just search for roaming profiles.

I took one of mine and installed windows 2003 professional server. I configed everything...was pretty hard, but i got it working. We are now moving that to its own dedicated machine making 8 comps. Thanks tho...Wow, for my age, i got to get credit for setting that up...TOOK FOR EVER..and yet i'm only 15...

Yikes that's a lot of $$$ to spend for 2003 server just to have roaming profiles, but whatever it takes I guess.

warez most likely heh
buying a server license for a small home network is quite insane :)

Yea definitely warez. A license for Windows 2003 standard edition is $999. I just wonder why roaming profiles could ever be that important? Guess if you have the money to waste on 8 computers in your house including a server, why not?
I have an either 90 or 180 (can't remember which) day evaluation Windows 2003 Server CD.

I'm curious, why do you need three computers just for yourself on one network?

That is complete overkill.
Two is about the most you would need in a room, unlesss you had something really special that you did with them.

My dads company had mutli-licenses about 7, they only use 6 for there servers, They didn't say if they were gunna send one, but they did say that they are trying linux out for a try, on 2 of the servers, so this may look good for me..
