Anyone play counterstrike or the specialist? They are good games, Or does anyone even have Half-life?

I used to play counterstrike.. it was more of a hobby for a year during university. I don't really keep up with the game.. I was pretty good for a newbie though.

I really like the specialist mod for halflife though. Matrix w00t. :)

Played CS all of my freshman year of college and then I discovered BF1942 and haven't gone back since. :)

Ya bf1942 is awesome, but, i'm still addicted to cs and other mods, One good mod is the specialist you should give it a try!

half life was good. Got hooked in the first 2 minutes of playing it.

Can't wait to see what HL 2 will be like. Don't think my computer can handle it though. :(

CounterStrike WAS a great game, I used to play it competitively for a while. Then the Hax got to it and aimbots galore came out all over the public servers.

When every scriptkiddy and there brother can awp you from across the map the game just loses some of it's fun.

Hopefully HL2 will take a while for the hacks to crack...

TNT 2, i get like 10 fps or less on Dod

I get 30 on CS and i use 16 bit color, and smallest screen size..

I have Vsync on GLopen on my graphics card, but when i turn it off it messes it all up, go figure..

Well I have the same card on an old PC, mainly because I began using a laptop when I started college. Now that I have room to keep one so it's time for me to upgrade. The only games my old P2 could handle anymore were CS and StarCraft.

Now, the decision arises, to build or not to build?

As true as that statement is I don't think that money is going to be too much of an issue. I realized right now I would have enough to buy a Athlon 64 3000+ with enough extras to last awile.

You gotta read the site/play it. I can't really explain it. It's like a strategy game (like Command & Conquer) meets a first person shooter. It's really weird, but cool.

I've never seen a combination strategy/shooter game. I always thought the two were mutually exclusive.

Nope. It's kind of like a beehive. For the humans, there is a commander who uses the team's money to buy guns for the team, put turrets out, etc. The team has to go out and install them, fight off aliens, etc.

The aliens are a little more independent. They have to work together to build hives at certian spots and can builg turrets themselves. The more hives they have, the higher the level they can evolve.

It's fun.
