Nope I don't have one. How is it?

It's neat. I have a WACOM tablet and it's neat... it gives you more control for graphics than a mouse does. It's hard to draw well with a mouse :-)

You can set the tablet on your lap and use the pen like a mouse (that's what I do sometimes). It came with a wireless mouse which I use too.

Aye.. Wacom Intuos 6x9
(9x12 was unneeded, as at the resolution the 6x9 has, I can work on very large images as it is)

I've got the same size (6 x 8 though, not x9).
I think it would be kind of awkward with a 9x12, it's a bit big to fit on my desk (plus I think you can do a great job with the 6x8 as it is).
Someone with a 4x5 told me that they can do really good graphics work, but I think it's a bit small. Plus I like how the 6x8 can be used as your mousepad with that wireless mouse.

I have the Wacom 9x12. I didn't try one out before buying it, and I felt that I would probably need the added size. I've got a fairly big desk and it works nicely. It takes a little while to get used to, but I'm getting it now.

The frustrating thing is that I'm sure it's capable of a whole lot of things that I haven't tried yet.

I've been wanting one for a few years now. I really need to pick one up.. because I can't draw worth crap with a mouse yet I'm damn good with a pencil and some markers. ;)

Of course my scanner is in canada.. so I'm just done for.
argh.

Mine was kind of a birthday present to myself. I worked hard all summer and was quite thrifty, never renting videos and such. I decided it was something I wanted and it helped in school a lot too.

my last birthday present to myself was the 2ghz box I'm on.

Time for an upgrade though. ;) then again I had to work an entire summer 2 years ago for this 2ghz.. dang canadian prices and taxes! :(

The price depends on which one you buy.... I have a 6x8 WACOM Intous2 and it was around $300.

here: http://www.wacom.com/productinfo/intuos.cfm
You can read about the different size/prices.
The 4x5 (smallest) is $199 and the 12x18(largest) is $749.
