If you like that try Armitage III or better yet Ghost in the Shell.

intricate

Ghost in the shell, what kinda title is that? I dont know tho, I like watching movies over and over and over and over. I can basically say all the lines as they say it in LOTR2.--I just like good movies. Also, I like Black Hawk Down. Thats a good one too :)

Like movie titles have ever made sense anyway, however, a "ghost" often refers to a spirit or AI or will or some such.

So the tag line of the film: "In a world in which the human mind can be programmed like a computer, where does your soul end and
the cybernetic machinery begin? What does it mean to be human? Ghost in the Shell is an epic, dystopian
tale of politics, covert actions, and cyborgs with too much attitude."

I like LOTR a lot... but the books are better :-)
(books are always better than movies anyway... well, mostly).

Seabiscuit is really good, but then I might be biased because I love any movie that has horses in it.
I can't wait for Hidalgo... :-)

Oh, and is there a moderator out there? I just can't believe the posts some people make... :(

James Bond series, Equilibrium, etc. etc. Any action movie.

Oh, and The Seven Samurari (a Japanese film from the 40's). One of the best films of all time.

Seven Samurai is from '54.

I am a big fan of Lord of the Rings, Memento, and The Salton Sea. There are plenty more that are up there with my favorites, those are just a few.

You know whats a good movie. The last samurai with Tom Cruise. I saw it like a week after it came out. I was soooo excited. It drove me nuts. I wanted to get a sword and chop people after that movie. jk lol

How about the movie Pi? That was some freaked up shiz.

Personally, my favorite used to be Natural Born Killers - I saw it 6 times in the theater. I loved the part where you see Mallory's gun as Scagnetti does - right before he gets shot.

But i've since moved on to happier places.

Pi was also a very good movie.

As for the Matrix trilogy, I would have to say that is probably one of the most butchered trilogies of all time. I think the LOTR trilogy is probably one of the best. For anyone who wants to see Peter Jackson's first work, go rent the movie "Bad Taste".

The Dirty Dozen. Sorry, I like it even though it's 'old' or whatever. Nothing beats that one in my book for fun and action and cleverness. And Lee Marvin, whew, they don't make 'em like him any more.

Well the issue with the Matrix is that the first film was left alone and allowed to be made. As you may have noticed, it was great.

However, when it made money the studio wanted to "help" it and gave it notes, adjusted things and basically mucked it up.

It shows.

LotR avoided that by filming it all at once, BEFORE the studio took a serious interest in it and decided to screw with stuff to a massive degree. It also shows :)

LOTR is also an adaptation of a book, and a very successful book(s) at that. So by default the movies will minimally be good (and my personal opinion is that they are excellent)

With the Matrix, the added stories seemed to become very forced The Wachowski brothers wanted to do two more, so you cant blame everything on the studios. They just spread what they had too thin and it showed. Because of their great blunder I have lost much of the respect I had for the Matrix.

Has anyone seen the Animatrix? These animated shorts seem truer to the original vision of the Matrix. Pretty cool stuff.

I bet the W bros had less and less to do with the sequels - and i'm sure the studios were really pressing them to put them out in a timely manner. They have all the reek of a rushed, high budget picture - that isn't supported by a good plotline.

I love how that moron Joel Silver hyped that scene in Revolutions where Neo punches Smith in the end. I never thought I would say this but I think you can have too much CGI in a movie. They should've put more time into a decent plot instead of that punch scene.

The Third Man with Orson Welles is a favorite, you might enjoy it if old black and white movies don't scare you or put you to sleep.

On the Waterfront is a good one also. It was made in the 50's but it's a great film. I believe it was one of Marlon Brando's first movies.

UD is a hilarious site.

My favorites are "George Bush" and "fo shizle"

There's quite a few extremely opinionated people on there, and it doesn't seem to be moderated at ALL.
