I like ps2 the best. It has the best selection of quality games.

I think they are all to expensive.. Thats why I just play PC games.. But then again, I don't have that much free time where I can play games..

I still have to vote PC, but the PS2 seems to have the best selection of games among the consoles.

I'm with KLH. Not only are the systems dang expensive, but the games too!

Although, to get a decent gaming computer takes a hell of a lot MORE money...

I have Xbox, GameCube, PS2, GBA SP, and a nice PC and I think I split my gaming time between them relativly equally, so I dont really have a favorite system.

I do however have a favorite system of a specific week, as I get a new game for one or something, this weeks system is PS2 as I am playing through Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando and Prince of Persia both for a second time.

I'm probably just too retro for this crowd but I still love my NES. To me, it seems as if games of recent put too much emphasis on style (graphics) and less into playability. I don't care what my games look like - I just want to play something fun.

I have found very few games that I find as enjoyable as many of the NES titles.

Oh, it does rule.

Still a GREAT game.

Excitebike is definitely the best of the 'Programmable' series.

Call me crazy but I also find myself going back to Mario Bros. Not Super Mario Bros. but the original arcade Mario with turtles, crabs, flies, and ice men.

Its all about Playstation 1. Medal Gear Solid, Gekido Fighters, ALL the final fantasies, Dino Crisis, and last but not least. Resident Evil. HECK YEA! Resident evil is the shiznick. Especially Nemesis.

Yeah, what I don't get are the console games that try to be first person shooters, I've only ever seen GoldenEye pull that off, all the rest just needed keyboard and mice to aim with.

FPS games are much easier on a PC. It takes about 30 seconds to find a target when you are on a console. Up...down...left...right...back left.....little bit to the right...up a little more....GAH HE MOVED...going back down...to the left...to the right...little to the right. You get the picture.

The only good Final Fantasies on the PS1 were FFIX and FFT...7 and 8 were sub par compared to the rest of the series.

Well, one of the highest selling FPS games of all time is a console FPS (Halo), and although it was ported to the PC, 95% of those that have played both prefer the console version.

I do prefer the keyboard and mouse to the console controller, but with practice on the analog stick I have nearly the same accuracy and reaction time as I do with they K&M.

If you get used to medal of honor Frontline, it rules the FPS world for ps2. It just takes a while to get used to.

Halo is one of the highest selling FPS's? Wow. I played the demo on my PC and was pretty impressed, but I bet it kicks significantly MORE ass on Xbox.

PC.

Although a modd'able xbox does show promise.

I am sort of a "multifunction" fan.. not a dedicated console.. etc..

speaking of Xbox mods - does anyone actually use a cracked xbox here?

LOL Yeah, I played Halo on the XBox with a few friends at my dorm and it was just horrible. I couldn't stand it. I normally consider myself quite good at FPS'ers on the PC, but I was getting owned on the XBox.

Thank goodness it came out for PC so I can own my friends now and show them I don't really suck. :p

Halo on PC rules. Don't let those rumors that you need a killer system to run it either, I ran it just fine on my semi-POS at home.

I got a little friend a gameboy sp, he seems to think it's the coolest. Personally, I like x-box, I think the graphics are the best and I like some of the games like Halo. Am looking forward to getting Halo 2, it should be awesome.

Was slated for April 2004, but there are plenty of rumors its being pushed back again, so no one is really sure.

One problem about Halo on the PC is the lack of Co-op multiplayer, which was definitly one of the coolest things the game had to offer.

Other than that I guess I'd say super nintendo. Baby can't beat the supernintendo!

I personally HATE halo for the xbox. I hate systems in general but ones with thumbjoypads really annoy me.

I'm a sniper at heart - don't give me a dang stick I want a 50 cal and a mouse or a trigger.

Now halo2 for the pc might be decent... but I'm holding my breath for hl2.. have you seen that engine?

wow! If you haven't go check out the engine previews all over gamespy.com

they'll knock your socks off.. but why'd you have the sock there in the first place? that excited over hl2?.. just.. kidding..

I'm falling in love with graham.

Oh Graham, you're so lucky!

And you mentioned snipers - wouldn't that be cool to have a sniper game with a full size rifle?

It is where you play with other people together.

So instead of running around blowing each other up, which believe it or not can get old. You get a buddy and you both play through the game together, watching each other's back, etc.

It is a LOT of fun... except that on the Xbox the resolution is painfully low and the controls are not as responsive as a mouse would be for aiming. So you can't see much and can't shoot it very well either.

If Halo on the PC had co-op it would have been much much better. Being able to run through games with someone else helping you is a lot of fun.

What are you, 35? Nobody plays that stuff anymore. Next thing we know you'll be singing the praises of the original Wolfenstein.

I assume you are being sarcastic.

Also, for the record, Wolfenstein and Doom are still the best games out there.

They may not be up in eye candy, but sadly they are often a lot more fun than lots of the crap they release on the market today...

Oh I totally am, Wolfenstein is the poop. Steamin hot. Doom too - those were the games that made us sit at our computers for hours in college instead of studying. They're still fun! Standing the test of time is the best :)
