I read another thread about a site being suspended for that, so can someone explain to me why?
I use mass email through vBulletin but that doesnt send it through v-webmail. Let me know what mass email is considered, i dont want to get an account suspended for that.

If mass emailing is only done through the postmaster account, nevermind this thread.

I wouldn't think that *how* the email is sent (via vBulletin, via webmail, via an email client such as Outlook Express) would be a key factor, all could potentially be a problem.
As far as limitations on mass mailings (and we're assuming here that all email is solicited, it goes without saying that unsolicited email/spam is forbidden in all cases) note the following info which was posted by a HR staffer in this thread (http://forums.hostrocket.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10645):
1) If you send from the shared servers, you will have to limit to 50 recipients per mailing, as we have imposed a delay on mailings above that number on our SMTP routers.
2) You may send in a ticket to be added to our mailing list setup, which will let you send out large batches of email from our custom PHP interface. This however will be separate from your shared account.
I don't know how many members you are commonly contacting via your mailings however judging from the above I'd say that in effect "mass email" is currently defined as mailings with more than 50 recipients.
If you can 'break up' your mailing list into groups of 50 or less and stagger your mailings at separate times my guess is that you shouldn't encounter any problems. If in doubt to play it safe I'd recommend you submit a trouble ticket including the specifics of exactly what you wish to do and see what the HR staff recommends in those particular circumstances.

No, the particular email account used surely wouldn't be an issue, my understanding is that this is in reference to any outgoing email from your domain which goes through HR's SMTP servers.
