Can anyone suggest a good way to accept credit card payments online??? I originally thought about getting paypal but they just got bought out and I haven't had the best of luck when companies are being bought out or are merging. So any suggestions?

I'm not using them myself (yet), but I have bought some things online recently from merchants who do. Which is how I heard of them.

Their per-transaction and percent-of-purchase fees are a bit high. But I would think they might make a good choice for an online business that has a lower monthly volume of sales, or whose sales are sporadic, as there are no monthly fees and no contract.

I've also heard good things about 2checkout.com. Paypal is OK for auction payments but for a business it is terrible. There are tons of people who have had terrible paypal horror stories involving their accounts getting frozen and denied access to their money.
