sendmail not sending

Hey folks. Anyone else having trouble with sendmail not actually sending out emails from php scripts? I'm using two well behaved scripts (phpbb and moodle) and neither is able to send messages out to users. (Moodle was working with sending briefly, but then stopped without any change.)

In both cases its just to send a handful of short messages, just confirmation messages when a user registers. Neither script reports getting errors, the messages just aren't arriving (I've checked multiple recipient destinations).

I've put in a priority trouble ticket on this, but still no response. If it helps, I'm on server 40 if I recall.

My trouble ticket is still open, and I've done periodic tests of the sendmail feature in both phpbb and moodle. Weirdly enough, I've gotten it to work every so often(can get a single new user confirmation email message out of either script) -- but then it promptly stops sending again. Still no error reported, the mail just never goes out. Ugh! The seeming random pattern of this is particularly frustrating, since I'm not changing anything in my scripts.

Please... does anyone else have these kinds of on and off again experiences with sendmail support?

(and just to make things exciting... my server--along with apparently most of hostrocket--was down for about 20 minutes at around 8:30pm.)

im not sure if my problem have any connection to yours, but i noticed my tagboard stopped working after the server went back on (after it was down for some time). now im getting this message..

I too am having the same problem with sendmail from php not working. Was definitely working on 28/October, but last night I sent some more mails and they never got sent.

These mails are from a php script that's been unchanged and working for months. Last night I used it again and it failed to send anything. I copy myself on the mails I sent from this particular php script, and ask some of my visitors to react to the mail - unusually no responses as yet? (I am sending around 8 such php emails per week for my picture of the day & week pages.)
