View Full Version : FormMail and new Mail System
Still no resolution...help!
My formmail still is not working. TT's have been sent and getting very slow responses with no solution.
After the email system was changed, my forms quit being delivered. This has worked fine for months prior to the change. I went in and made the changes to the mail manager as instructed. Emails are delivered-but not the form from my site.
Does anyone have any ideas? I even created a new email acct and changed the formmail to deliver it to that new email and it still doesn't work. It has been days and days and I'm getting frustrated.

Same here. TT's say it should be working, but it is not. No problems in running this form for the past 2 years now it just quit working.

That's really odd I have no problems running FormMail v 1.92 and I have no problems with it. Sounds more like a local problem than anything.
I agree --- but I think the "local problem" is at the HR end. It worked fine for months - until the email system changed. I have made no changes at my end. I have checked my files, compared to backups, etc. so many times that I couldn't give you a count. I wish the problem was at my end, then I could fix it!:D

I don't see how it could be a local problem. My form has been running without problem for 2 years. HR changes email servers and it quits working. I don't know why it no longer works, all I know is it don't work and I didn't change anything.

Well if you want to get a step ahead of HR and do the first step in testing the mail to see what is really going wrong. Try connecting both through the webmail client and the pop3. If both are not working that means your server was not configured properly. If one is working and the other is not then it is clearly a mistake in the programming for one or the other. Always think a step ahead before writing to HR I have found it best to trouble shoot with finding other options/programs to do the same task it will eliminate any uncertainty and will make their job a little easier than looking blindly at a problem. Also one thing I have noticed (which may help you) is that HR did change IP's for some reason on my account, and I suspect others. Ping your website through DOS (aka command prompt) and type "ping www.yourdomain.com" (w/o the quotes of course), and see if the IP address there matches the IP address matches the one you have put in the script.
Thanks!
Getting some ideas (on what is wrong) is refreshing!
I'm gonna' try your suggestions.:)
Just got this from HR support ...
"This is an issue that is serverwide. We are working on the
issue as we speak. We apologize for any inconvenience that
this may cause."
So they apparently have now recognized the problem on their end.
Thanks for everyone's replies.
