Hello.
I want to shell a product over internet, but I don't know how to accept credit cards or another way.
I already installed the shopping cart from hostrocket but is very complex to shell only one product.
Can someone tell me an easy solution (cost free or cheap)
Thanks in advance.

The cheap ones will more than likely take a percentage of your profits. Paypal is a free system you can go to their site and check the rates. I would check them out if you are looking for a starting place until you have the money to get better programs than the HR one.

Thank you very much!
I think PayPal may be good for me.

To accept credit cards, you need to get a merchant account. They are easy to get if you are based in the US. Many people buying products on the Internet will not take you seriously if you just use paypal or one of those similar canned solutions, though it is perfectly ok to offer that as a payment option. A merchant account gives you flexibility, a lot of people are not comfortable with paypal, and the fees are really not that different if you choose a merchant account wisely. It also makes you look a lot more professional to accept mastercard/visa/discover/amex, and is very automatic once you get it set up.

I wouldn't recommend using paypal. Take a few hints from paypalsucks.com and definately don't use it if you're a business. A few dollars from an end-user here and there is nothing to lose - but 4-5 grand in a paypal business account.. thats crazy.
Go read it!

there are a few good cheap credit card processing companies out there. the only one I've had any dealing with is '2checkout' and they seemed to be good. I don't exactly remember their rates and I'm a little busy right now to google. I think it was a decent yearly fee + 1% per order or something along those lines..
and theres the yahoo pay service.. if you want to just skip paypal all together.
+ more sites listed on paypalsucks.com - or just google for paypal sucks and you'll get a bunch of nonsuck competitors. :)

I use ECHO-inc.com to process credit cards. Have had good experiences, cost pretty low. It's a complicated process to set up a site that can accept credit cards, but well worth the effort. I have had ok experiences with paypal as well, but someone who only accepts paypal looks like an amateur imho. People are used to using credit cards, and casual shoppers often don't know paypal from Pravda.
